How to Become a 4-H Club Volunteer
Welcome to the Tulare County 4-H Program!
We look forward to you becoming a 4-H Volunteer. The 4-H Program is a unique educational program where adults work side by side with youth in a mentoring capacity. Please read the instructions below to begin your 4-H Volunteer orientation process.
Before proceeding, if you are new to the 4-H program and have not been in contact with a club in your area, contact the 4-H Office at (559) 684-3303 for information on how to join. You can also go to the "How to Join" page to directly contact a 4-H Community Club Leader in your area.
All volunteer applicants must complete the Leader Orientation outlined in this 5 step process. Upon completion of the review of orientation documents, the video, and passing the quiz, you must also successfully clear a California Department of Justice background check (Live Scan fingerprinting) initiated by the University of California Cooperative Extension prior to your initial appointment.
Once steps 1-4 have been completed you will be contacted by the 4-H office to come into the office to complete Step 5, to fill out your enrollment form.
Thank you for taking the time to become a 4-H Volunteer and I look forward to meeting you!
Proceed to Step One now.
