The University of California Cooperative Extension office in Tulare County is offering a Home Study nutrition program. All adults receiving food stamps in Tulare County can participate in this free 6-week program. There are no classes to attend and the information is mailed directly to the home. The program provides information on wise shopping and saving money, preparing quick and healthy meals for less, and helping children eat a well-balanced diet.

Participants receive a packet of materials once a week. Each packet contains delicious, low-cost recipes, shopping tips, and information on how to choose foods for good health. Once a participant has finished the program he or she will receive a certificate of completion. For additional information call U.C. Cooperative Extension at (559) 733-6369.
